Alison is an executive coach, educator, researcher and e-learning specialist with a diverse background in training and leadership. Her group training and individual coaching work focuses on the development of leadership capabilities and personal well-being through building skills in psychological flexibility, mindfulness and values clarity.
As an executive coach, she works with individuals within the Commonwealth public service and private enterprise. Her one-on-one coaching is aimed at identifying and addressing psychological barriers to the achievement of personal and work-related goals, whether this be related to the development of genuine leadership qualities or greater work-place well-being
She is the author of a range of group workplace interventions that build emotional regulation and personal resilience, workplace confidence and interpersonal effectiveness.
Alison is a highly experienced facilitator of experiential learning programs. and brings real world experience, highly refined communication skills and pedagogically-sound methodologies in her face to face and on-line training projects.
Alison is a also part-time researcher with ANU’s Crawford School of Economics and Government working on projects particularly concerned with organisational behaviour, transformational leadership and mindfulness in organisations.
Alison has graduate qualifications in Psychology. She has written extensively on the relationships between values-based living, life satisfaction and psychological well-being. She has a particular interest in evaluating the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Training and will be published in early 2012. She is an experienced presenter most recently presenting her values research at the 5th Annual Australia and New Zealand Conference of ACT in Brisbane in September 2011.
